Ministry Of Industry Records 130 Palm Oil Companies Registered In Simirah

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) noted that as of July 1, 2022, 130 palm oil companies have registered with the Bulk Cooking Oil Information System (Simirah) 2.0, which includes 51 producers of Crude Palm Oil (CPO), and 79 producers of Palm Cooking Oil (MGS).

"In the People's Bulk Cooking Oil (MGCR) program, there are currently additional producers, from 75 companies in the Subsidized Bulk Cooking Oil Program to 79 MGS companies," said Director General of Agro Industry at the Ministry of Industry, Putu Juli Ardika, quoted from Antara, Monday July 4th.

Of the total 130 companies that registered at Simirah 2, he said, as many as 98 companies have received registration numbers, namely 24 CPO producers and 74 MGS producers.

"All those who registered, no one was rejected. But those who have not received a registration number are because they are still in the verification process or still completing incomplete data," he explained.

Some time ago, the Directorate General of Agro Industry, Ministry of Industry held a Business Matching Regional Sumatra MGCR Program in Medan to socialize the MGCR Program, as well as make it easier for participants to migrate to Simirah 2.

"In this activity we open consulting services for companies and involve the work unit of the Ministry of Industry in Medan to become auditors," he said.

Of the 74 MGS producers who received registration numbers for the MGCR Program, 39 companies (52 percent) were in the Sumatra region and of the 24 CPO producers who received registration numbers, 17 producers (70.8 percent) were in the Sumatra region.

"This means that the Sumatra region is very central and important as a center for cooking oil production," he added.

In the period 1-30 June 2022, the average distribution of the MGCR program was 81.72 percent of the monthly needs in each province.

"Based on the data, shipments of MGCR producers to seven destination provinces, namely Bali, DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, West Nusa Tenggara, South Sulawesi and West Sumatra, have exceeded their projected needs," said Putu.

In June 2022, he said, a total of 268 thousand tons of MGCR distributed by MGS producers, 182 thousand tons of which have arrived at distributor 1 (D1), 45 thousand tons have arrived at retailers, and 28 thousand tons have been sold to the public.

"Increasing the export volume of CPO and MGS can be done by accelerating the distribution of DMO-DPO into the country, including in the form of containerized bulk oil," he said.

Putu emphasized that the government is determined to carry out this program properly and accountability is maintained so as to ensure the availability and meet the needs of MGCR according to the Highest Retail Price (HET) of Rp. 14,000 per liter or Rp. 15,500 per kilogram.

The government also facilitates retailers who want to sell MGCR. It is hoped that with the existence of official retailers that have been registered in Simirah 2 or Logistics and Retail Service Business Actors (PUJLE), they can help the government and the community in meeting domestic cooking oil needs.

Since the government socialized the use of the PeduliLindung QR Code on 27 June 2022 to 34,900 retailers, 3,345 retailers or 8.81 percent have printed the CaresLindung QR Code which will be scanned by buyers.

Retailers who have received the QR Code Peduli Protect can directly conduct transactions with buyers in accordance with the provisions or pricing policies and applicable purchase limits. Buyers who do not have the PeduliLindung application can still buy by showing their NIK. Later, retailers are required to record the buyer's NIK and do a daily recapitulation.
