JAKARTA - The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs has determined that the Indosurya Savings and Loan Cooperative (KSP) is under special supervision because the payment process for obligations to members has not been completed and the legal process is still ongoing.

The determination of this status ensures that all activities carried out by KSP Indosurya are under the supervision of the Cooperative Ministry.

"After being designated as a cooperative under special supervision, KSP Indosurya must report all actions that will be taken by the cooperative and must obtain approval from the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs," said Deputy for Cooperatives at the Ministry of Cooperatives Ahmad Zabadi, quoted from Antara, Thursday, June 30.

Thus, he continued, the entire management behavior can be monitored and escorted by the Kemenkop to ensure that there are no management actions that harm members.

Furthermore, the legal process for the Indosurya KSP case is still ongoing at the Criminal Investigation Unit at the National Police Headquarters for alleged criminal acts of fraud, embezzlement, and money laundering.

It is confirmed that the law enforcement process is still ongoing even though the suspects with the initials HS and JI have been released from the Criminal Investigation Department because their 120-day detention period has expired.

The public prosecutor (JPU) stated that the case file was still incomplete (P-18), so the police were asked to complete the case file (P-19) so that the case could be processed immediately in court.

"The release of HS and JI from detention does not necessarily eliminate the nature of the crimes committed by HS and JI, because they are still suspects. Therefore, the release of HS and JI is not accompanied by the return or termination of the confiscation of assets," said Zabadi.

His party together with the Troubled Cooperatives Handling Task Force have an interest in resolving Indosurya's obligations to pay the stages of the reconciliation scheme for the postponement of debt payment obligations (PKPU) to members.

Considering that the legal process has not been completed and is still ongoing, he hopes that the assets confiscated by investigators can be opened so that the value of the assets can be known to fulfill Indosurya's obligations to its members.

"To support this, as soon as possible we will also take consultative steps with several related parties," he said.

According to Zabadi, Kabareskrim can provide information to the Coordinating Ministry for Cooperatives regarding assets that have been confiscated from HS so that it can be used as asset-based resolution to return members' deposits according to the homologation decision.

The Troubled Cooperatives Handling Task Force has also asked KSP Indosurya to immediately hold an annual member meeting (RAT) by first conducting an external audit/public accounting firm.
