JAKARTA - The government through PT Pertamina will conduct a trial of purchasing subsidized Pertalite and Diesel fuel using the MyPertamina application starting July 1 tomorrow.

Initial trials will be conducted in West Sumatra, South Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, West Java, and DI Yogyakarta.

President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Alfian Nasution, said that people do not need to carry cellphones when buying Pertalite and Solar at Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU).

Alfian said, users only need to register their vehicle and identity through https://subsiditepat.mypertamina.id/.

"You don't have to use an application, you don't have to use a cellphone, you only need to show the QR Code. This is the initial stage," Alfian told reporters, Wednesday, June 29.

Not only that, people who do not have a smartphone or MyPertamina application can register through outlets that have been provided by Pertamina at gas stations.

However, people who register without the application must have an active email address. Because, a special QR Code will be sent to the email address.

“The data that has been registered will be verified or matched with the conformity of the requirements. If everything is fulfilled a maximum of seven working days, then the user will be declared registered and receive a QR Code via email, or through a notification on the website, "explained Alfian.

The QR Code received can also be printed and physically brought to the gas station when you want to fill Pertalite and Solar.

The QR Code will then be matched with the data by the gas station operator.

"People don't need to worry, the steps are very easy, the important thing is to make sure you have registered and make sure the data has been confirmed. If you have received the QR Code, the transaction will run as usual," he said.

He added, the use of MyPertamina aims to make the distribution of subsidized fuel more targeted.

"The data of registered users who have received this QR Code is part of recording the distribution of Pertalite and Solar so that they can be more targeted, we can see the trend, who the users are. We also don't require to use the application, we only need to register through the website which will be opened on July 1," said Alfian.

The files needed when registering are KTP, vehicle registration, photos of vehicles, email addresses, and other supporting documents.

If they receive a notification of a lack or incompatibility of documents, the public can try again to fill in the vehicle data and identity according to the recommendations for existing shortages.

“The data that has been registered will be verified or matched with the conformity of the requirements. If everything is fulfilled a maximum of 7 working days, then the user will be declared registered and receive a QR Code via email, or through a notification on the website, "concluded Alfian.
