BPH Migas Records Pertalite Consumption Until June Reaches 13.2 Million KL

JAKARTA - Member of the BPH Migas Committee, Saleh Abdurrahman, revealed that the realization of Pertalite consumption until June 20, 2022 had reached 57.54 percent or reached 13,266,431 kiloliters (KL).

For this reason, he is worried that if there are no restrictions on purchases, the amount of Pertalite consumption will exceed the quota set by the government.

The Pertalite quota provided by the government for 2022 is 23.05 million KL.

Meanwhile, for subsidized solar, said Saleh, the consumption is already above 50 percent, even the average daily monthly consumption has experienced an excess of more than 10 percent.

"Of course, if we don't control it, we will face subsidies that will run out in October or November," Saleh said in a webinar, Wednesday, June 29.

For this reason, his party is currently working with Pertamina as a business entity, requiring users to register on the MyPertamina site on July 1, 2022.

In the future, through the Revised Presidential Decree 191/2014, the government will determine who has the right to purchase the Pertalite and Solar Subsidy.

Later, the data provided by consumers will be verified by the government to determine the suitability of buying this type of fuel.

Pertamina Patra Niaga, Sub Holding Commercial & Trading of PT Pertamina (Persero) will conduct a trial of purchasing Pertalite subsidized fuel through the Mypertamina system in five provinces starting July 1, 2022.

President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Alfian Nasution said, currently Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to strengthen infrastructure and systems to support this targeted Pertalite and Solar distribution program.

"It is planned that the initial trials will be carried out in several cities/regencies spread across West Sumatra, South Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, West Java, and DI Yogyakarta," Alfian said in a statement to the media, Monday, June 27.
