SKK Migas stated that the need for human resources in the oil and gas sector is currently increasing significantly in line with the start of major projects in the oil and gas industry.
Acting Head of the Program and Communication Division of SKK Migas, Mohamad Kemal said, the need for human resources in the oil and gas sub-sector is increasing in accordance with the commitments of the cooperation contract contractors (KKKS) in the approval of the work plan and budget (WNPB).
"The recruitment plan will still be carried out by KKKS in accordance with operational needs this year," said Kemal.
SKK Migas noted that the number of workers in the upstream oil and gas industry was recorded at 22,609 people throughout 2020.
However, the number of workers in the upstream oil and gas industry has reached 19,243 people in the first quarter of 2022.
Kemal believes the number of workers will continue to increase in the second quarter, even until the end of this year.
