JAKARTA - The government is currently drafting technical instructions for purchasing subsidized fuel oil (BBM) for the type of Solar and Pertalite so that the distribution can be right on target.

Committee member of the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) Saleh Abdurrahman revealed, customers will later be asked to use the MyPertamina application to determine whether they are included in the category of recipients of the subsidized fuel.

"Later, you have to register first and then verify whether you are eligible to receive the pertalite and diesel subsidies," Saleh told reporters, Thursday, June 2.

However, Saleh said, the policy for the use of MyPertamina still has to be reviewed.

The reason is, people who do not use smartphones will experience difficulties.

"We are still reviewing the technical field first, when it is done it will be socialized first and then it will be implemented," he said.

To purchase Pertalite and Solar through the MyPertamina application, users need to download it on their smartphone and register for an account.

Users are required to connect their LinkAja account to the MyPertamina application by clicking Activate.

Users can add a debit card in the Account menu, select Payment Method then click Add on Debit Card, and register a Debit Card.

When using the Debit Card method, users have a transaction limit of IDR 1 million per day and are charged a platform fee of 1.5 percent of the total purchase.
