JAKARTA - The state-owned company that develops and manages the tourism area, PT Pembangunan Wisata Indonesia (Persero)/Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) is in the process of completing the construction of the cultural arts performance arena on the Peninsula Island, The Nusa Dua, Bali.

Managing Director of The Nusa Dua, I Gusti Ngurah Ardita, said the cultural arts performance stage was built on an area of 1,386 square meters and can accommodate more than 600 spectators and get a beautiful sunset view.

"The construction of this cultural arts performance stage is one of the efforts to optimize The Nusa Dua that we are doing to encourage tourist visits to the area," he said in a press statement quoted on Sunday, June 26.

According to Ardita, apart from being a facility for performing Balinese cultural arts such as ballet, kecak and other dances on this stage, his party also provides new attractions that can be enjoyed by visitors and tourists.

"We also hope to contribute to the preservation of Balinese culture, as one of the implementations of the principles of sustainable tourism in the areas we manage," he said.

Meanwhile, this cultural arts attraction will complement other existing and developed tourist attractions at The Nusa Dua, such as the DTW Water Blow Peninsula natural attraction, Bali Nusa Dua Theater (Devdan Show) and the Pesona Nusa Dua Fiesta event.

For information, the construction of an arts and culture stage is similar to the existing tourism facilities in the Uluwatu area, Bali and can accommodate up to hundreds of people in one performance.

"For accommodation facilities, The Nusa Dua currently has 18 hotels or the equivalent of approximately 4,800 rooms operating during the pandemic and facilities that can accommodate more than 20,000 delegates," continued Ardita.

Apart from being complete in terms of attractions and facilities, The Nusa Dua already has and implements regional governance based on health protocols to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in the region and its surroundings.

"With our advantages, we are ready to receive tourist visits and support the organization of international class events. We hope that with the improvement in tourism conditions, The Nusa Dua will further increase its contribution to the recovery of the national economy," concluded Ardita.
