Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno Invites Youth To Create Jobs

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno invites youth to create jobs in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. 4 Y20 Indonesia 2022 which is monitored online in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Sunday 19 June.

According to him, there are three valuable assets owned by youth, namely creativity. Youth have young minds who are very innovative to solve problems, especially in issues of health, economy, education, and a sustainable environment. Then the second asset is intellectual property which forms the value of creation. The third asset is entrepreneurial ability which is characterized by the courage to take risks and be proactive. "So our program for the existing youth generation will stimulate and increase the valuable assets they have, especially for generation Z and millennials," he said. Thus he said the program for youth in his ministry, it is not only oriented to getting a higher position or getting a better job, but so that youth can create jobs, quality jobs, enlarge existing job opportunities, and encourage MSMEs.

Therefore, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy continues to ensure that the development and improvement of human resource competencies in digitalization, innovation, and sustainable business practices can be the core of program recovery for the younger generation. On the other hand, Sandiaga also invites youth to participate further in the G20 Indonesia Presidency, one of them is through creative and innovative input and suggestions. "Generation Z and millennials make up 55 percent of Indonesia's population, so we need all of you," said Sandiaga.
