JAKARTA - The Task Force for Handling State Claims for the Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance Fund (BLBI) has received a payment to settle the obligations of BLBI shareholders for the obligor shareholder of former PT Bank Dewa Rutji, Sjamsul Nursalim, in the amount of Rp367.72 billion.

The head of the BLBI Task Force, Rionald Silaban, was quoted as saying by Antara, Wednesday, June 15, that this obligor had previously made payments of Rp. 150 billion, including a 10 percent administration fee. Payments to the state treasury are made through the DKI Jakarta Branch of the Committee for State Receivable Affairs (PUPN).

He explained that the payment was made after collection efforts were made by the BLBI Task Force since 2021.

Previously, the BLBI Task Force on November 22, 2021 had received debt payments from several obligors and debtors, namely Sjamsul Nursalim and PT Lucky Star Navigation Corp.

"Obligor Sjamsul Nursalim, who is an obligor from Bank Dewa Rutji on November 11, 17 and 18, 2021, has paid part of his obligations with a value of Rp. 150 billion," said Chairman of the BLBI Task Force Steering Committee, Mahfud MD during a press conference in Jakarta, November 22, 2021.

He explained that the figure includes administrative costs for managing state receivables of 10 percent.

"The BLBI Task Force has also received the handover of another 100 hectares of land located in Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province, as part of paying off obligations from debtor PT Lucky Star Navigation Corp," he said.

On that occasion, he conveyed that the government appreciated the good faith of the obligors/debtors who began to pay off some of their debts and fulfilled the call of the BLBI Task Force.
