JAKARTA - The 25th Plenary Meeting of the DPR RI for Session V for the 2021-2022 Session Year approved the Draft Law (RUU) of the Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives on New Energy and Renewable Energy (EBT) to become a bill proposed by the DPR RI. The decision was made by the Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Lodewijk Paulus after hearing the opinions of nine factions during a plenary meeting in the Plenary Session Room, Jakarta, Tuesday, June 14.

"The nine factions have submitted their respective opinions, now we are asking whether the bill proposed by the Commission VII of the DPR RI on New Energy and Renewable Energy can be approved as a bill proposed by the DPR RI?" asked Lodewijk who was greeted by the approval of all participants in the plenary session.

Previously, nine factions expressed their opinions through written statements. The nine factions are the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P), the Golkar Party faction, the Gerindra Party faction, and the National Democratic Party (NasDem) faction.

Opinions on the EBT Bill were also conveyed by the National Awakening Party (PKB), Democratic Party Faction, Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) and National Mandate Party (PAN) and United Development Party (PPP) factions.
