Jokowi Says There Is A Prime Minister Asking To Send Cooking Oil, Who Is He?

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that he received a call from a Prime Minister.

During the discussion, the Prime Minister asked for help to send cooking oil to his country.

But unfortunately, Jokowi was reluctant to mention which country the request came from.

This was conveyed by Jokowi in his remarks at the Opening of the 2022 National Coordination Meeting for Government Internal Control, Tuesday, June 14.

"Two days ago, last night, I got a call from a prime minister. I don't need to mention (his name), he's been begging for a day or two to send something called cooking oil," said Jokowi.

Jokowi also said that the Prime Minister was worried that a socio-economic crisis would occur if he did not get a supply of cooking oil. Because the stock in their country has really run out.

"Our stock is completely depleted and if this item (cooking oil) does not arrive, a socio-economic crisis will occur which will also lead to a political crisis," he said.

According to Jokowi, a series of incidents have occurred in Sri Lanka.
