The Ministry Of PUPR Invests Rp13.76 T For 2023 Cash Intensive Work

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) has allocated a budget for the cash labor-intensive program in 2023 of Rp13.76 trillion.

Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono in a working meeting with Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives in Jakarta, Thursday, revealed that this figure is almost the same as the 2022 budget.

"The plan for activities with a labor-intensive pattern in 2023 is allocated Rp. 13.76 trillion. In 2022, it is also around Rp. 13 trillion. We maintain despite our DIPA indications of Rp. 98 trillion, for labor-intensive activities we will maintain it at Rp. 13 trillion," he said.

Basuki explained that the cash labor-intensive program budget of Rp. 13.76 trillion is estimated to absorb around 650,000 people.

In detail, the cash labor-intensive program in the water resources sector is allocated at IDR4.7 trillion, with an estimated workforce absorption of 328,000 people.

Meanwhile, in the field of roads and bridges, an allocation of IDR 4.5 trillion is allocated with an estimated workforce of 54,000 people.

Furthermore, in the housing sector, Rp2.11 trillion was allocated with a workforce of 62,000 people.

Meanwhile, in the housing sector, Rp 2.45 trillion was allocated with an estimated workforce of 206,000 people.

Previously, the cash labor-intensive program budget in 2022 reached Rp. 13.64 trillion with a workforce of 665,000 people.

The Ministry of PUPR is carried out through infrastructure development involving the community/local residents as development actors, especially small-scale infrastructure or simple jobs that do not require technology.

In addition to creating a safe, comfortable, clean and healthy learning environment, the program for providing sanitation facilities and infrastructure for Islamic boarding schools/LPKs also aims to maintain people's purchasing power in the midst of uncertain economic conditions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so that the benefits can directly contribute to the economic recovery program. national (PEN).
