Banggar DPR Adds Budget For Three Coordinating Ministries Of Rp. 156.5 Billion: "It's Been Approved, Mr. Coordinating Minister, Don't Come Again Later!"

JAKARTA - The Budget Agency (Banggar) of the DPR RI has approved the proposal of three Coordinating Ministries (Kemenko) to propose additional budgets in the discussion of the indicative ceiling for the 2023 fiscal year.

Chairman of the Banggar DPR Said Abdullah explained that the three government agencies were the Coordinating Ministry for Politics, Law and Security for Rp. 24.3 billion, the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (PMK) for Rp. 50 billion, and the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, at Rp. 82.2 billion.

In this way, the total additional budget for the three Coordinating Ministries reached Rp. 156.5 billion.

"God willing, we will try (to fulfill) because the demand is not much but the work is the most. The Budget Agency guarantees to comply with the Coordinating Minister's proposal because the leadership (faction) has agreed and the members must agree," he said during a working meeting at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Jakarta, quoted on Tuesday, June 7.

Said hopes that this additional budget proposal is final and will not do the same if a decision has been taken.

"It's been approved, so the Coordinating Minister doesn't have to come again, okay? Don't wait until after reading the memorandum (financial by the President) to come back to the DPR (to ask for an additional budget),"

In detail, the budget of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs that was offered directly by Mahfud MD amounted to IDR 296.4 billion for the 2023 period.

Then for the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture through Muhadjir Effendy of IDR 232 billion, and the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy proposed by Airlangga Hartarto of IDR 554 billion.
