JAKARTA - The government plans to use the MyPertamina application so that the distribution of subsidized fuel oil (BBM) such as diesel and pertalite is right on target.

The Downstream and Natural Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) and PT Pertamina are currently working on technical guidelines so that the distribution of diesel and pertalite can be on target.

Committee member of the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) Saleh Abdurrahman revealed, Pertamina customers will later be asked to fill in their personal data in the MyPertamina application and will be verified to determine whether they are in the category of recipients of subsidized fuel or not.

"Later, you have to register first and then verify whether you are eligible to receive the pertalite and diesel subsidies," Saleh told reporters, Thursday, June 2.

Saleh said that later the policy for the use of MyPertamina still had to be reviewed.

The reason is, people who do not use smartphones will experience difficulties.

"We are still reviewing the technical field first, when it is done it will be socialized first and then it will be implemented," he said.

For now, Saleh continued, his party is still preparing criteria for beneficiaries of Pertalite and diesel fuel subsidies.

Not only that, the government is currently revising Presidential Regulation (Perpres) No. 191 of 2014 concerning the Supply, Distribution and Retail Selling Price of Fuel Oil (BBM) including technical instructions for purchasing subsidized fuel and assignments.

Previously, the Head of BPH Migas, Erika Retnowati, revealed that her party is currently working on technical guidelines for purchasing subsidized fuel and assignments such as pertalite, which allows luxury car owners to not be able to purchase assigned fuel.
