JAKARTA - Indonesia again participated in the international scale building material exhibition, namely the Sydney Build Expo 2022 in Sydney, Australia. Participation in this exhibition is an opportunity for Indonesia to penetrate the Australian market, especially for construction products and building materials.

Director General of National Export Development Didi Sumedi said the exhibition was an opportunity for Indonesia to increase exports of Indonesia's leading products in the building materials sector.

"Moreover, Indonesia and Australia have a comprehensive economic partnership agreement that can be utilized, especially in economic recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic," Didi said in a written statement, quoted on Thursday, June 2.

Indonesian Consul General for Sydney Vedi Kurnia Buana said this exhibition was an opportunity for Indonesian construction products and services in the international market. "We are very happy with the opening of Australia's international borders so that they can be directly utilized by participating in the Sydney Build exhibition," said Vedi.

Vedi also hopes that Indonesia's participation in this exhibition will pave the way for Indonesian products in the construction sector to enter widely again.

At this exhibition, the Indonesian Pavilion featured eight Indonesian building material manufacturers, namely PT Bangunperkasa Adhitamasentra with fiber cement board products, PT Rama Gombong Sejahtera (plywood), PT Gunung Raja Paksi (iron and steel products), PT Pundi Uniwood Industry (wooden plywood, PT Hasil Albizia Nusantara (wood panels), PT Trias Spunindo Industri (Geotextiles), PT Daya Cipta Karya Sempurna (processed merbau wood), and PT Trio Jaya Steel (furniture, iron, and steel).

The Sydney Build Expo is Australia's largest construction, architecture and infrastructure exhibition. In 2022, the exhibition will be held again after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
