Get A Rp3.2 Trillion Loan From The World Bank, Ministry Of Transportation Will Build Mass Transportation In Bandung And Medan

JAKARTA – The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) received a loan facility of Rp. 3.2 trillion from the World Bank (World Bank).

Director General of Land Transportation Budi Setiyadi explained that the loan is intended for the procurement of vehicles, operations, pools, road infrastructure, including pedestrians that support land mass transportation modes in Medan, North Sumatra and Bandung, West Java.

Budi admitted that the loan from the World Bank had actually been escorted two years ago.

The procurement and construction of buses, he said, is targeted to start in 2023.

"In 2023, the two cities of Medan and Bandung will receive loan assistance of Rp. 3.2 trillion. We will prepare it later for the same as in Jakarta," Budi told reporters, Tuesday, May 31.

He said, there were about 900 units of public transportation vehicles for the two cities.

For this year, Budi continued, some of the loan assistance funds will be used to develop more detailed plans related to the infrastructure to support mass transportation that you want to build.

Budi added that his party would not rule out increasing the development of mass transportation in other cities such as Surabaya and Makassar.

"This includes vehicles and operators of IDR 50 billion this year," he concluded.
