JAKARTA - The online credit service provider Kredivo is said to be targeting 20 million consumers in the Southeast Asia region in the next five years.

Group CEO and Co-founder of FinAccel (Kredivo's parent entity) Akshay Garg said this target will be realized in five ASEAN countries, namely Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines.

“Over the past two years we have seen a significant increase in terms of digitization. But at the same time, as many as 2.9 billion people in the world still experience inequality due to the lack of access to digital services," he said in an official statement, Thursday, May 12.

According to Akshay, financial services are a very crucial part of building the foundation of a more productive life.

"Kredivo will be closer in providing access to financial services and making a positive impact on the lives of tens of millions of people," he said.

In order to smooth out the planned acquisition of 20 million users, Kredivo is collaborating with the EDISON Alliance, which is also committed to prioritizing digital inclusion.

"As a member of the World Economic Forum, Kredivo joins a leading global company that continues to develop solutions to pressing problems in the world," he stressed.
