Seeing The Wealth Of 2 Of Tito Karnavian's Subordinates Who Are Now Acting Governors Of West Papua And Sulbar

JAKARTA - Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian has appointed five acting governors to replace regional heads whose terms of office have expired.

Two of the five people are Tito's subordinates, namely the Director General of Regional Autonomy (Otda) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Akmal Malik, who is the Acting Governor of West Sulawesi, and the Deputy for Management of the Potential Management of the BNPP Border Area of the Ministry of Home Affairs Komjen (Purn.) Paulus Waterpauw as the Acting Governor of West Papua.

So how much wealth do they have?

Judging from the state administrator's wealth report (LHKPN) reported by Paulus Waterpauw, he was recorded to have a total wealth of Rp. 10,643,026,000.

However, he reported this figure in 2017 when he served as the North Sumatra Police Chief. In his report, Paul is recorded to have 20 assets in the form of land spread across the Jayapura, Mimika, and Bandung areas with a value of IDR 3,748,026,000.

Furthermore, he is only recorded to have had one vehicle in the form of a 2015 Ford MPV with a value of IDR 495 million.

Not only that, Paulus also recorded ownership of cash and cash equivalents worth IDR 4.5 billion and other assets worth IDR 1.9 billion. He is not recorded as having debt so that his assets are intact in the amount of Rp. 10,643,026,000.

Meanwhile, Akmal Malik's assets totaled IDR 6,117,840,926 in the report he reported on March 22, 2021. However, he was recorded as having debts worth IDR 2 billion so that his net worth was around IDR 4,117,840,926.

As for his assets, consisting of five units of land and buildings located in Bogor, East Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and two others are not mentioned with a value of Rp 5,058,735,500.

In addition, Akmal is also recorded as owning two motorcycles, namely a 2008 Suzuki and a 2017 Honda D1B02N26L2 A/T as well as a Toyota Yaris 1.57 in 2012 with a total value of Rp. 163,851,700.

Next, the Director General of Regional Autonomy (Otda) of the Ministry of Home Affairs is also noted to have assets in the form of other movable assets with a value of IDR 73 million and cash equivalents of IDR 822,253.72.

As previously reported, there are 272 regional heads in Indonesia whose terms of office will expire in the near future. Later, they will be replaced by officials until the Regional Head Election (Pilkada) which will be held in 2024.

Meanwhile, today, May 12, Tito has appointed the Acting Governor in his office. Those appointed are:

Banten Regional Secretary Al Muktabar who became the Acting Governor of Banten Director General of Regional Autonomy (Otda) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) Akmal Malik who became the Acting Governor of West Sulawesi Director General of Mineral and Coal of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Ridwan Djamaluddin who became the Acting Governor of the Bangka Belitung Islands Expert Staff for Sportivity Culture of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Hamka Hendra Noer who will be inaugurated as Acting Governor of Gorontalo Komjen (Purn.) Paulus Waterpauw who now serves as Deputy for Management of Potential Management of BNPP Border Areas at the Ministry of Home Affairs as Acting Governor of West Papua.
