Cilacap Refinery Operates Strategic Command Center To Optimize Operations & Production

JAKARTA - Balikpapan Unit Refinery Operations ahead of this year's Eid al-Fitr will continue to run normally.

GM PT Refinery Pertamina Internasional (KPI) Balikpapan Unit Wahyu Sulistyo Wibowo said this was done to support the readiness and smooth fulfillment of fuel oil before, during and after the Eid holiday.

"Currently all production units at the Balikpapan Refinery are running normally, and we will continue to ensure the reliability of the refinery so that later it can continue to run normally before, during and after Eid al-Fitr," Wahyu said in a statement to the media, Sunday, May 1.

According to Wahyu, there are several things that the Balikpapan RU Unit has prepared for this Eid.

First, ensuring the arrangement of workers in operating the refinery. Second, ensure that the stock of crude oil to be processed is sufficient. Third, ensure the reliability of the refinery and provide the necessary materials.

Fourth, ensure that the fuel produced can be delivered to the delivery point according to Pertamina's marketing request.

"Although the Government has issued slack for homecoming trips, internally we have made restrictions on leave arrangements to ensure refinery operators meet the requirements," Wahyu said.

For smooth distribution, KPI Balikpapan Unit has coordinated with Pertamina Patra Niaga. In carrying out this task, Wahyu also expects support from stakeholders.

"We really hope for support from the community around the refinery, Pertamina Group, Security Forces, KSOP and all parties related to refinery operations," Wahyu concluded.
