JAKARTA - Bank Muamalat Indonesia (BMI) together with the Muamalat Institute (MI) held a Virtual Job Fair as a form of providing an overview and career opportunities and internships in the company for final year students and fresh graduates.

BMI Chief Human Capital Officer Riksa Prakoso said this program aims to facilitate campuses to be connected in the industrial world while at the same time aligning the needs of competent human resources.

"We are strongly committed to developing the younger generation so as to create graduates who are ready to work in the Islamic finance industry, especially at Bank Muamalat Indonesia," he said in an official statement, quoted Tuesday, April 26.

According to Riksa, the pandemic situation has forced the business world to enter a new phase of activities in line with the latest developments in digitalization.

"Of course, reliable and competent human resources are needed in building a sharia economy which has enormous potential to grow in the next five years," he said.

On the same occasion, Muamalat Institute Executive Director Anton Hendrianto said that his party designed a Virtual Job Fair program to get the best talents from all campuses in Indonesia.

"Muamalat feels he has a moral obligation to disclose the widest possible information in a structured and sustainable manner so that the goal of getting the best talent in the Islamic finance industry can be realized," he said.

Similarly, Director of the National Committee for Sharia Economics and Finance (KNEKS) Sutan Emir Hidayat said that the Virtual Job Fair program is a forum that can facilitate the flow of the process of implementing internship programs or work practices as well as developing human resources in the sharia economy and finance sector in the future.

"We thank BMI and MI for facilitating this event and we will continue to support programs like this which will be held in the future," he said.
