Positive Performance, UUS Bank DKI Wins Indonesia Sharia Finance Awards 2022

JAKARTA - Recording positive financial performance growth in the first quarter of 2022, the Sharia Business Unit (UUS) of Bank DKI was designated as one of the recipients of the Indonesia Sharia Finance Awards 2022 with Outstanding Sharia Banking Products and Development Programs in the Sharia Business Unit of Conventional Bank category from the Media Economic News. The award was received virtually by the Director of Retail & Sharia of Bank DKI, Babay Parid Wazdi on Thursday, April 21.

Director of Retail & Sharia of Bank DKI, Babay Parid Wazdi expressed his gratitude to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government as a shareholder and the trust given by all stakeholders of Bank DKI, especially customers.

As is known, until the first quarter of 2022, Bank DKI UUS has distributed financing of Rp. 6.35 trillion or grew 6.41 percent compared to the first quarter of 2021 of Rp. 5.96 trillion. Bank DKI UUS DPK in the first quarter of 2022 also grew 21.60 percent to Rp. 6.96 trillion compared to the first quarter of 2021, which was Rp. 5.73 trillion.

These various financial performance achievements have driven an increase in assets which grew by 18.79 percent from Rp.6.33 trillion in the first quarter of 2021 to Rp.7.53 trillion in the first quarter of 2022. These various financial performance indicators have boosted the UUS profit of Bank DKI in the first quarter of 2022 which recorded at Rp45.84 billion.

In developing its business, Bank DKI UUS optimizes sharia banking services to the DKI Jakarta BUMD environment and strengthens the MSME sector using Jakone Abank digital services. In addition, Bank DKI UUS also synergizes with PT Sarana Multigriya Finansial (SMF) to support the National Economic Recovery (PEN) program through the signing of the Mudharabah Muqayyadah financing agreement to take part in increasing the financing capacity of housing ownership for the community.

Bank DKI UUS also provides various sharia financial solutions such as Hajj and Umrah Savings (Taharoh) with auto-debit, KMG Syariah financing, and presents Scan to Pay QRIS JakOne Pay which can be used to make digital payments of zakat, infaq, and alms.

Most recently, to encourage the digitization of banking services to various communities in DKI Jakarta, Bank DKI UUS collaborated with the Global Spirit of Ummah Foundation to launch the Maqashid Syariah Thematic Al-Quran which is a differentiation factor for Bank DKI UUS with other Sharia Banks because it has historical significance as the First Bank that published the Thematic Quran of Sharia Economics as a manifestation of the commitment to educating sharia financial literacy in Indonesia.

Bank DKI UUS also supports non-cash payment systems through Bank DKI's QRIS at various mosques in DKI Jakarta. By becoming a QRIS partner of Bank DKI, Islamic institutions and mosques in collaboration with Bank DKI can make managing financial transactions of members and congregations easier.

The administrators of sharia institutions and mosque administrators can monitor payment transactions and financial transactions in real time and online. Currently, Bank DKI has provided QR Codes for more than 2,928 mosques spread across various areas in Jakarta. Some of them are large mosques such as the Istiqlal Mosque, Sunda Kelapa Mosque, and various other mosques including the KH Hasyim Asyari Grand Mosque.
