DENPASAR - The Bali Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes (Kanwil DGT) noted that tax revenues in the region until the first quarter of 2022 amounted to Rp1.89 trillion, or 26.31 percent of the target of Rp.7.2 trillion for this year.

"The realization of the DJP Bali Regional Office revenue grew by 11.43 percent compared to the previous year," said Head of the Bali DJP Regional Office, Anggrah Warsono, in Denpasar, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, April 20.

He said that the tax revenue was supported by five dominant sectors that determine revenue, namely financial services and insurance amounting to IDR 438.64 billion or 23.15 percent, and the wholesale and retail trade sector amounting to IDR 378.01 billion or 19.95 percent.

Then the manufacturing industry sector amounted to Rp. 175.79 billion or 9.28 percent, government administration and mandatory social security amounted to Rp. 108.45 billion or 5.72 percent, and construction amounted to Rp. 100.88 billion or 5.32 percent.

According to Anggrah, the performance of this tax revenue is influenced by regional economic conditions, especially the tourism sector with the opening of international flights in Bali, which is getting better and has an impact on the growth of other sectors.

Meanwhile, in terms of compliance with the submission of Annual Tax Returns (SPT) until the end of March 2022, it has reached 249,165 SPT or 75.47 percent of the target of 330,130 taxpayers (WP) with a growth of 5.96 percent compared to last year's realization achievement.

The number of SPT realizations consisted of 5,029 corporate taxpayers, 212,561 individual employee taxpayers, and 32,194 non-employee individual taxpayers.

"We hope that all taxpayers can immediately report their Annual SPT through e-filing, especially for corporate taxpayers so that they can immediately submit their Annual Corporate Tax Returns before April 30, 2022," said Anggrah, who was just inaugurated on April 13.

Even though the deadline for individual taxpayers has passed, he said taxpayers can still submit annual tax returns throughout the year with late reporting status.

In addition, there are 647 taxpayers in Bali who have utilized the Voluntary Disclosure Program, consisting of 100 taxpayers in criterion I and criteria II as many as 547 taxpayers.

Of the 647 taxpayers who have utilized the Voluntary Disclosure Program, the total value of the disclosed assets is Rp. 341.58 billion with the total Income Tax (PPh) paid is Rp. 38.05 billion.

"I hope that people in Bali can immediately take advantage of this Voluntary Disclosure Program before June 30, 2022. This opportunity does not come repeatedly, so let's work together to make this program a success to build a more advanced Indonesia," he said.
