JAKARTA - PT Cakrawala Tirta Buana as the manager of the Tanah Abang Blok shopping center informed that trading activities will be suspended from May 1 to May 8, 2022 in line with the momentum of Eid this year.

Promotion Manager of PT Cakrawala Tirta Buana Hery Supriatna said that this closure was also a form of the Eid holiday and would reopen on May 9, 2022.

“From May 1 to 8, the building will be closed and there will be no operation, everything will be closed to the public. To reopen on May 9, 2022," he told VOI when contacted on Monday, March 18.

Hery asked people who want to shop to fulfill their Eid needs to remain orderly and comply with applicable rules while in the Tanah Abang area.

"My message is to keep the health protocols, wear masks, and be careful when shopping. In fact, if you already know the seller, it is enough to order online, so you just have to send the goods and you don't need to come in person," he said.

Hery added that the management also appealed to residents not to invite children who are still toddlers as much as possible to minimize the potential for the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Please do not bring toddlers when shopping," he asserted.

Meanwhile, in terms of turnover and money circulation, Hery believes that this year's conditions are better than the previous period, which was still under strict social restrictions.

"For the estimated turnover during this Ramadan, we do not have the calculations, which is clear that there will be an increase from the last two years. Even though it has not been able to match the amount of turnover during normal conditions before the pandemic because the number of people who came to shop was high, the value of the shopping was still not stable, he said.
