Deputy Erick Thohir Ensures Sufficient Fuel Stock For Homecoming Needs And The 2022 Eid Holidays

JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) continues to ensure the availability of sufficient supply of fuel oil (BBM) to meet needs during Ramadan, the homecoming period until the upcoming Lebaran 2022 holiday.

Deputy Minister of SOEs I Pahala Nugraha Mansury said that Pertamina had sufficient fuel stock. Especially in terms of anticipating community mobility which will increase during going home and the 2022 Eid al-Fitr holiday.

Furthermore, Pahala said that the stock of Pertalite type fuel was sufficient. This includes ensuring sufficient stock for biodiesel type fuel products.

"Pertamina itself has directly dispatched to each region to ensure the availability of this stock is sufficient," he said at a press conference at the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Friday, April 8.

"On this occasion, the existing stock supply far exceeds what is currently needed by the community," he continued.

Furthermore, Pahala said that the stock at Public Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) in each region in Indonesia will be added in the near future. The additions were made to anticipate the increased mobility of the community ahead of going home and the 2022 Eid holiday.

"In the days ahead, we will indeed increase the amount of stock in each region, to be able to ensure that with the level of mobility that will increase later, it can be ascertained that the stock availability is indeed there," he said.

On this occasion, Pahala said that his party together with the police at the central and regional levels together determine further steps if there is an abuse of subsidized fuel.

"So, of course, steps are needed to ensure that action is taken. So that only people who comply with the existing PP regulations PP No. 191 can indeed use the fuel," he explained.
