JAKARTA - The Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) of the Ministry of Finance reports that until the end of 2021 there are a total of 64,050 certified state land parcels.

Director of Legal and Public Relations of DJKN Tri Wahyuningsih Retno Mulyani said the move was part of an effort to inventory and identify all state property (BMN).

"After an inventory and identification has been carried out, BMN in the form of land must be certified, as mandated by Article 49 paragraph 1 of Law No. 1 of 2004," he said in an official statement on Friday, April 8.

According to Tri, the regulation mandates that all state or regional property in the form of controlled land must be certified on behalf of the Indonesian government or the local government concerned.

"BMN certification in the form of land is carried out as an effort to order administration and to provide legal certainty," he said.

Furthermore, Sri Mulyani's subordinate explained that the certification also aims to secure assets as well as provide legal protection to land rights holders, in this case the government.

"So that the BMN function can optimally be utilized for the benefit of carrying out government duties and for the greatest prosperity of the people," he asserted.

In detail, Tri explained that until 2021 BMN will be in the form of land that has been certified as many as 64,050 parcels.

Meanwhile, the certification target for the 2022 period is 32,636 plots, consisting of 23,737 parcels of uncertified land and 8,899 land titles for certified land that are not in accordance with the provisions (BBSK).

"The success of the BMN certification acceleration program in the form of land really needs support from various parties, namely the Ministry of Finance, ministries/agencies submitting land to be certified, and the Ministry of ATR/BPN," Tri concluded.
