JAKARTA - Bank DKI BUMD President Director Fidri Arnaldy revealed that his party supports the financial management of Islamic boarding schools through the provision of banking service capital at the Pondok Karya Development Micro Waqf Bank (PKP).

The capital provided includes establishment capital, working capital and operations of the Pondok Karya Pembangunan Micro Waqf Bank. Fidri hopes that the presence of Bank DKI in this PKP can support financial management in the Islamic boarding school environment.

"The presence of the Micro Waqf Bank is also expected to encourage Islamic financial inclusion for the surrounding community," said Fidri in his statement, Friday, March 25.

Fidri said, Bank DKI is also ready to encourage the digitization of the Pondok Karya Development Micro Waqf Bank and the entire ecosystem in Islamic boarding schools through various digital banking products provided by Bank DKI.

"In the future, by using Bank DKI digital banking services, Micro Waqf Banks and members can enjoy the convenience of transacting in various ecosystems that have been built by Bank DKI," said Fidri.

The Pondok Karya Pembangunan Micro Waqf Bank was inaugurated by Vice President Ma'ruf Amin and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria on Thursday, March 24.

Riza Patria revealed, the Government is currently trying to develop the Islamic finance ecosystem in the country. One of the efforts made is to encourage the emergence of Micro Waqf Banks in Islamic boarding schools throughout the country.

"The presence of Micro Waqf Banks in Islamic boarding schools is very helpful for small communities who do not yet have access to formal financial institutions," said Riza.
