Implementing The Use Of EBT, Tegal Garment Entrepreneurs Will Use PLN's REC

JAKARTA - PT Winners International, which is engaged in the production and export of textiles, has purchased a Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) facility.

This commitment was realized by the signing of the purchase of REC between the PLN Customer Service Implementation Unit (UP3) Tegal and PT Winners International, a company engaged in the production and export of textiles.

The signing was carried out by the Manager of PLN UP3 Tegal, Suparje Wardiyono, with the Director of PT Winners International, Ha Hong Dae, at the PT Winners International office, Jalan Raya Marga Ayu KM. 33 Margasari, Tegal Regency.

Manager of PLN UP3 Tegal, Suparje Wardiyono said, PT Winners International agreed to purchase REC for 10 years in accordance with the accumulation of electricity consumption for three months in which one REC unit is equivalent to 1 Mega Watt hour (MWh).

The average electricity consumption of PT Winners International itself is around 280 MWh per month.

"Alhamdulillah, we can reach an agreement on the sale and purchase of Renewable Energy Certificates, hopefully from PLN's perspective it can increase the penetration of renewable energy," said Suparje.

Suparje said that REC is a manifestation of PLN's commitment to realizing the Net Zero Emission target. Through this purchase, PT Winners International will also contribute to supporting the achievement of Indonesia's new renewable energy mix target of 23 percent by 2025.

Representative of PT Winners International, Hardiyanto appreciated PLN for its support for PT Winners International's New and Renewable Energy needs.

"Thanks to PLN UP3 Tegal for implementing the MOU with PT Winners International regarding REC. Our goal is to get recognition that we have used renewable electrical energy," said Hardiyanto.
