JAKARTA - Subholding Gas PT Pertamina (Persero), PT PGN Tbk supplies natural gas as a safe and environmentally friendly energy to the kitchen of the State Palace, Jakarta. The process of distributing natural gas (gas in) to the Palace kitchen went smoothly.

"Alhamdulillah, the gas process is running smoothly, so that natural gas can benefit the State Palace environment. We hope that this will continue in the future," said PGN Jakarta Area Head Sheila Merlianty in a statement in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Thursday, March 10.

Meanwhile, Head of the General Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat, Erry Hermawan, said that the use of natural gas at the State Palace could serve as an example that the Palace uses natural gas as clean, environmentally friendly, safe, available 24 hours and competitive energy.

"Currently, this is only the initial installation for cooking in the kitchen. We hope for maintenance support and during VVIP activities when you need energy to cook in the Palace kitchen. The Presidential Palace Kitchen will utilize natural gas with a volume of 50-1,000 m3," said Erry.

He expressed his gratitude to PGN for fulfilling the application to install natural gas in the Palace environment and it has been running optimally according to the target.

"We plan to use this natural gas not only for kitchen needs, but also for large-scale heating or washing clothes with heat technology, such as services at the Bogor State Palace. We expect that consideration," added Erry.

Then Sheila added that in case of problems or emergencies, PGN has a contact center that can be contacted and is on standby 24 hours.

To date, PGN Jakarta Area has served 268 commercial and industrial customers ranging from malls, hotels and restaurants. In addition, it serves 138 small customers and 15,332 household customers.

Along with the development of natural gas infrastructure in the DKI Jakarta area, Sheila hopes that natural gas customers will also increase.

"We also carry out assignments from the government to develop natural gas for the community. The added value of natural gas is that it is safer, more comfortable, environmentally friendly. We hope that people can see it from this side, so that more and more people are interested in using natural gas," said Sheila.
