Jakarta-Bogor KRL Users Can Enjoy Free Wifi Service Up To 1000 Mbps From MacroAd, Here's How!

JAKARTA - PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk (WIFI) or Surge, increased the speed of the Free WiFi MacroAd internet network for train users by 1,000 Mbps at Jakarta-Bogor Commuter Line stations. It is hoped that the increased internet network speed can make it easier and improve community connectivity in carrying out their daily activities.

MacroAd Free WiFi service has been present since 2018 at various public locations such as the Jabodetabek Commuter Line station, traditional markets, long-distance train stations, to several other public places in cities/districts on the island of Java.

Surge CEO Hermansjah Haryono said that the Free Wifi MacroAd service that had been present for the past few years was part of the company's mission to encourage the improvement of people's quality of life through digital transformation.

Train users can take a few easy steps to connect to the public internet network for free at the Jakarta-Bogor Commuter Line station.

The first step, users at the station only need to look for the SSID or Wi-Fi named #FreeWifi-MacroAd on their respective devices. After connecting, new users will be directed to register first through a web page that opens automatically containing a form for user registration.

The third step, users need to watch and enjoy advertisements from MacroAd, for 15 seconds. After that, users can directly connect and use Free WiFi speeds of up to 1,000 Mbps for 30 minutes.

If the duration expires, the user only needs to access the Free Wifi MacroAd service again.

Along with the operation of the fiber optic network from Weave (a subsidiary of Surge), which is along the Java Island Railway, as the initial stage of the Free WiFi MacroAd service on the Jakarta-Bogor Commuter Line train route, the speed will be increased by 1000 Mbps.

In addition to the potential to increase advertising revenue from MacroAd by up to 98 percent, the speed of MacroAd's Free Wifi can be an early illustration of the reliability of quality connectivity that will be presented by Surge in remote areas of Java via the Weave fiber optic network.
