JAKARTA - PT Bank CTBC Indonesia has been trusted again as a mutual fund selling agent for seven PT Manulife Aset Manajemen Indonesia (MAMI) mutual funds. The seven portfolios include five equity mutual funds and two fixed income mutual funds, both in Rupiah and US dollars, with portfolio placements in domestic, Asia Pacific and global markets.

"We welcome the partnership with MAMI. This will further strengthen CTBC's Wealth Management business and provide opportunities for customers to diversify and take advantage of investment opportunities in various world markets," said President Director of CTBC Indonesia, Iwan Satawidinata, in his official statement, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, March 8.

According to Iwan, all MAMI mutual fund products will be distributed through CTBC branches in three major cities in Indonesia. At CTBC, customers can purchase mutual funds through CTBC Mobile Banking as well as offline purchases at all CTBC Indonesia branch offices.

Meanwhile, CEO & President Director of MAMI, Afifa, also appreciated the collaboration with CTBC, which is a leading financial institution in the Asian region, including Indonesia. "Through this collaboration, we hope that more Indonesian people will enjoy investment opportunities in the Indonesian and foreign capital markets through mutual fund products managed by MAMI," said Afifa.

Afifa stated that the collaboration between MAMI and CTBC is expected to provide additional benefits for CTBC customers. MAMI and CTBC will continue to provide innovative investment products that are in line with the needs of CTBC customers and society as a whole.

CTBC and MAMI have prepared seven mutual funds that suit various CTBC customer profiles. The product consists of two equity mutual funds that invest in the domestic market (Manulife Dana Saham and Manulife Saham SMC Plus) and one domestic equity fund denominated in US dollars (Manulife Greater Indonesia Fund).

Furthermore, there are two equity mutual funds that invest in various markets in foreign countries (Manulife Shares Syariah Asia Pacific US Dollar and Manulife Stock Syariah Global Dividend US Dollar), as well as two fixed income mutual funds (Manulife USD Fixed Income Fund and Manulife Monthly Income).

Furthermore, Afifa explained the various MAMI mutual fund products available at CTBC. Manulife Dana Saham (MDS) invests in the most liquid stocks on the Indonesian stock exchange with relatively well-maintained performance and uses the LQ45 index as a reference.

Meanwhile, Manulife SMC Plus (SMC Plus) takes growth opportunities from shares of small and medium capitalization companies, which are more suitable for investors with an aggressive risk profile. Meanwhile, investors who wish to invest in the Indonesian market in US dollars can take advantage of the Manulife Greater Indonesia Fund (MGIF).

For investors who want to invest in foreign markets, MAMI and CTBC have provided two alternative products. Manulife Syariah Stocks Asia Pacific US Dollar (MANSYAF) opens access to take investment opportunities in stocks in the Asia Pacific region.

Meanwhile, Manulife Syariah Global Stock Dividend US Dollar (MANSYAG) can be utilized by investors who are looking for opportunities in global-scale company stocks, especially in Europe and the United States with a long track record as well as proven fundamentals and sustainable profitability.

In addition, MAMI and CTBC also offer two fixed income mutual funds. Manulife Monthly Income II (MPB II) is a good investment alternative for a period of three to seven years and aims to avoid excessive fluctuations.

Meanwhile, Manulife USD Fixed Income (MANUFIX) can be utilized by investors who want to invest in fixed income mutual funds in US dollars, by focusing on short-medium term bonds to optimize US dollar savings and with controlled fluctuations.

With MAMI's diverse investment options, CTBC customers can diversify their portfolio assets. Investment options are not limited to the Indonesian stock market, but also to markets in Asia Pacific, the United States and Europe. In addition, to minimize the risk of volatility, investment options are available in the bond market.

"With a complete variety of investment alternatives from MAMI, CTBC customers can diversify their investments more broadly to realize their financial goals," said Iwan.
