JAKARTA - The telecommunication company from the Djarum Group belonging to the Hartono Brothers conglomerate, PT Solusi Tunas Pratama Tbk (SUPR) targets revenue to grow this year by 5-6 percent year-on-year (yoy). To achieve this target, SUPR has prepared a number of strategies, including increasing the number of towers and tenants.

President Director of PT Solusi Tunas Pratama Tbk, Juliawati Gunawan Halim explained, after being acquired by the Djarum Group entity, namely PT Professional Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Protelindo), SUPR still focused on its main business.

"Of course this year we will still focus on our core business, namely as tower leasing to operators," said Juliawati in a virtual public expose, Tuesday, March 1.

Meanwhile, Solusi Tunas Pratama is currently targeting business opportunities from the merger between PT Indosat Ooredoo Tbk. (ISAT) PT Hutchison 3 Indonesia (H3I) or Tri Indonesia.

"We are monitoring the impact of the merger between the two companies," he said.

PT Indosat Tbk and Tri (PT Hutchison 3 Indonesia) have announced a merger agreement in September 2021. After going through a series of processes, the Indosat-Tri merger is officially effective as of January 4, 2022.

As of the end of September 2021, Indosat and Tri Indonesia were SUPR's main customers, with contributions to revenue of Rp224.33 billion and Rp301.85 billion, respectively.

On the other hand, Solusi Tunas Pratama targets the addition of about 400 new towers and tenant growth at 600-700 tenancy by 2022. To launch this business plan, SUPR has prepared a capital expenditure (capex) of IDR 700 billion to IDR 800 billion this year.

"Capex will focus on adding towers. The sources of capital expenditure funds come from internal cash flow and banking. This capital is sufficient for the company," explained Juliawati.

SUPR owns 6,900 towers, with the number of tenants reaching 12,800 by the end of December 2021. Previously, PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR) through Protelindo had completed the acquisition of 94.03 percent of SUPR's shares on October 1, 2021. The purchase value of the majority of shares was Rp. 16.7 trillion.
