JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno has also observed the traffic jams on the Puncak Bogor route that have occurred repeatedly. In fact, Sandi has a permanent solution to the problem.

According to Sandi, the peak route that passes through the two districts in West Java needs to have a cable car. "In addition to being environmentally friendly, cable cars also have a different sensation because in mountainous destinations abroad there are also cable cars, even with large trams," said Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, March 2.

The Deputy for Tourism Products and Activities of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Rizki Handayani Mustafa, also has a suggestion. Rizki proposed making a tourist visit registration application.

The application will regulate tourist restrictions through clock settings, so that when it exceeds the carrying capacity (environmental carrying capacity), tourist registration must be stopped.

"This is the problem with traffic jams because they are moving at the same time. If we can parse the travel times, maybe we can also (with) this technology," said Rizki.

On the other hand, Sandiaga reminded, before going on vacation to Puncak, tourists must prepare their vehicles so they don't break down, thereby exacerbating traffic congestion.

In addition, Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno also reminded motorists to obey traffic rules. "Don't play sloppy, don't end up getting impatient and making this traffic worse," he said.

He recounted his experience of experiencing traffic jams when driving to Puncak Bogor on a motorbike because a vehicle broke down, the driver stopped at the shoulder of the road, and the driver ignored traffic engineering patterns.

In this case, his party has coordinated with the police who have prepared a traffic engineering pattern to be obeyed by motorists and instructed the line ministries to make this event an evaluation for tarnishing Indonesian tourism.

"For tourists who are accustomed to going to Puncak every long weekend, hopefully they can find alternative vacation locations," said Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno.

The alternative tourist destinations offered include various tourist villages around Greater Jakarta, Bogor Botanical Gardens in West Java, Thousand Islands in Jakarta, as well as Tanjung Lesung and Agrinex Village in Banten.
