JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) will provide electricity services without going out or Zero Down Time (ZDT) in the MotoGP event which will be held at the Mandalika Circuit this March.
General Manager of PLN NTB, Sudjarwo said that technically, the electricity needs for MotoGP had been met. The ZDT service scheme, which is a layered supply system, has been prepared by PLN since World Superbike was held.
"Overall, the system used for MotoGP is still the same as World Superbike and Pre-Season. What we are currently completing is related to the administrative requirements," explained Djarwo, quoted on Tuesday, March 1.
A total of 14 UPSs with a total power of 2.4 MVA were imported from Bima, Sumbawa, East Java, DKI Jakarta, and NTT.
ZDT's commitment is also reflected in the testing of the Operational Eligibility Certificate for mobile generators imported from Papua, which are the generators used to make PON XX successful in Papua.
A total of eleven generators with a total capacity of 6.2 kVA will be operated as a third layer to support MotoGP.
"We continue to ask for prayers and support from the entire NTB community so that PLN can electrify MotoGP safely, so that this grand event can run smoothly," Djarwo hoped.
Previously, PLN also succeeded in providing excellent electricity services during the World Superbike in November 2021. A power supply of 5.19 MVA was supplied by PLN to PT ITDC as a customer to meet electricity needs in the circuit area, from the paddock to the medical center.
