Tomorrow, KAI Will Operate The Joglosemarkerto Train For The Cilacap-Yogyakarta PP Relation

JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia Operation Area 5 Purwokerto will operate the Joglosemarkerto train for the Cilacap-Yogyakarta round-trip (PP) connection starting February 25, 2022 in order to improve service to customers.

"But for the initial stage, the Joglosemarkerto train for the Cilacap-Yogyakarta PP connection will be operated from February 25-28 2022," said Head of PT KAI Daop 5 Purwokerto Daniel Johannes Hutabarat in a statement in Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, Central Java, quoted from Antara, Thursday 24 February.

According to him, the operation of the Joglosemarkerto train for the Cilacap-Yogyakarta PP relationship is aimed at improving service to customers as well as expanding services, so that there will be more alternative choices for traveling by train.

He said that during the COVID-19 pandemic, which is still ongoing until now, PT KAI (Persero) continues to innovate by presenting the Cilacap-Yogyakarta connection train, which so far can only be served by the Wijayakusuma train for the Cilacap-Ketapang connection, departing at 15.10 WIB from Cilacap Station.

With the existence of the Joglosemarkerto train for the Cilacap-Yogyakarta connection, which departs from Cilacap Station at 06.00 WIB, he said, it can help connectivity and community mobility through rail transportation and provide options for train travel in the morning for people in Cilacap Regency and its surroundings.

"The Joglosemarkerto train for the Cilacap-Yogyakarta connection consists of two service classes, namely executive class and premium economy. In an effort to attract public interest to use this train, we apply promo fares with prices starting at Rp. 60,000 for executive class and Rp. 40,000 for premium economy class. , while the tickets can already be purchased through KAI Access or external ticket sales channels that have been determined," he said.

He hopes that with the presence of the Joglosemarkerto train, the Cilacap-Yogyakarta PP relationship, which includes the agglomeration train, can accommodate the needs of the people in the PT KAI Daop 5 Purwokerto area who want to go to Yogyakarta International Airport (Yogyakarta International Airport / YIA) by using the Airport Train.

Regarding the Joglosemarkerto train travel schedule for the Cilacap-Yogyakarta connection, Daniel said KA 224F (Joglosemarkerto train connection number) departed from Cilacap Station at 06.00 WIB and arrived at Yogyakarta Station at 09.10 WIB.

"On its way to Yogyakarta Station, KA 224F Joglosemarkerto will stop at Maos Station, Kroya Station, Gombong Station, Karanganyar Station, Kebumen Station, Kutoarjo Station, Wojo Station, and Wates Station," he said.

Meanwhile, KA 223B Joglosemarkerto for the Yogyakarta-Cilacap relation, he said, departs from Yogyakarta Station at 11.20 WIB and arrives at Cilacap Station at 14.21 WIB, and will stop at Wates Station, Wojo Station, Kutoarjo Station, Kebumen Station, Karanganyar Station, and Wates Station. Gombong, Kroya Station and Maos Station.
