BRI, BNI, Bank Mandiri, BTN Earn Total Profit Of IDR 72.05 Trillion, Millennial Group: Erick Thohir's Hard Work Should Be Appreciated

JAKARTA - Coordinator of Millennial Indonesia's MSME and Business Sector, Syahrul Ramadhan appreciates the performance of Minister of SOE Erick Thohir who has succeeded in making the State-Owned Bank Association (Himbara) earn a profit of IDR 72.05 trillion at the end of December 2021. The achievements of banks consisting of BRI, Mandiri, BNI , and the BTN was recorded to have shot up 78.06 percent of its 2020 profit of IDR 40.34 trillion.

According to Syahrul, this achievement cannot be separated from the role of Erick Thohir in leading the state-owned company. This, said Syahrul, is the result of the transformation and efficiency that is currently being carried out by the Ministry of SOEs and all state-owned companies.

"Pak Erick's efforts in transforming BUMN to be more efficient have paid off. We should appreciate his hard work," he told the media crew, quoted on Wednesday, February 23.

Furthermore, Syahrul said, the presence of Himbara Bank has helped provide comprehensive solutions to problems related to business capital, including MSMEs. The four Himbara banks, said Syahrul, have different focuses while still providing solutions to various problems faced, ranging from MSME capital, housing solutions to corporations.

"We see that the four Himbara Banks have their respective focuses, and maybe that's one of the things that made Himbara Bank able to earn a profit of IDR 72.05 trillion," he added.

According to Syahrul's notes, BUMN itself has a number of major long-term transformation programs. This is intended so that SOEs can sustainably contribute economic value and social value to all stakeholders. On the other hand, the economic function of SOEs can generate profits and generate large capitalization.

In addition, Syahrul said, Erick Thohir also always asked Himbara to always coordinate to improve systems and services to support one government data. This made Himbara stronger and stronger.

"Pak Erick is very fast in tidying up SOEs. His leadership in leading state-owned companies deserves thumbs up," he explained.

Syahrul added, Himbara has an important role in the distribution of various aids provided by the government. Starting from MSMEs, subsidies for workers' salaries, to wage assistance for non-civil servant educators.
