MATARAM - Three actors in the corruption case of the dock construction project in the Gili Air tourist area at the Department of Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries of North Lombok Regency for the 2017 Fiscal Year have returned state losses.

Spokesman for the West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office Supardin confirmed that his party through the Mataram District Attorney had collected the return of state losses into another government account (RPL).

"The nominal amount is IDR 140 million, it was returned from the three defendants and has now been accommodated in the RPL at the Mataram Kejari," Supardin said in Mataram, Antara, Tuesday, February 15.

The defendant who returned the state losses was Suwandi, Director of PT Gelora Megah Sejahtera, the owner of the company implementing the project work contract worth Rp. 6.32 billion.

"From Suwandi it was Rp. 40 million. It was returned when the case was still being investigated by the police," he said.

Then the other two defendants came from the supervisory consultant, CV Karya Mahardika 97. The company's director, Slamet Waloejo and expert staff, Luqmanul Hakim, returned the state losses with a nominal value of Rp. 50 million each.

"For the two defendants, Slamet Waloejo and Luqmanul Hakim, the return is carried out after stage two (delegating the suspect and evidence to the prosecutor)," he said.

In the case file which is currently in the trial stage at the Mataram Corruption Crime District Court (Tipikor), the public prosecutor (JPU) stated that the figure for state losses that emerged reached Rp782 million.

This figure emerged from the results of the NTB Inspectorate audit on September 23, 2020. The emergence of this loss figure refers to the findings of a team of construction experts from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Mataram.

The findings revealed that there was a volume of work that was less or not in accordance with the plan. The value of the shortfall has been converted into a state loss figure of Rp. 98 million.

Another disadvantage arises from overpayment covering three work items. Its value is estimated at IDR 684 million.
