Encouraging MSME Business Growth, Tourism To Open New Jobs, DPM PTSP Riau Targets To Raise Investment Of IDR 65 Trillion In 2022

JAKARTA - The Riau One-Stop Integrated Service and Investment Service (DPM PTSP) targets to be able to obtain an investment of IDR 65 trillion throughout 2022. This target is an increase of around 22.5 percent from the realized investment in 2021 of IDR 53.05 trillion.

"The investment target of this size is set to encourage the growth of the business climate. It is also believed that the more investment there will be, the more new businesses will emerge," said Head of the Riau One Stop Investment Service and Integrated Services (DPM PTSP), Helmi D, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, February 15.

Investment is needed as well as encouraging business growth in the MSME, tourism, business and other sectors which will at the same time encourage new jobs.

The creation of large jobs, he said, would increase labor recruitment and reduce unemployment.

The investment target for 2022 is optimistic that it will be achieved, with the hope that maximum cooperation will be supported by a number of current potentials that are not affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, such as the plantation, industrial, agricultural and transportation sectors.

Meanwhile, based on data from DPM-PTSP Riau, in 2021 the realization of investment gains in Riau will reach Rp. 53.05 trillion. Far exceeding the set target of IDR 49.1 trillion or 108.05 percent of the target of IDR 49 trillion.

The highest investment in Riau still comes from Pelalawan Regency with a total investment value of IDR 14.38 trillion. The second is Dumai City of Rp. 10.15 trillion, Kampar of Rp. 7.91 trillion, and Bengkalis Regency of Rp. 5.76 trillion.

Then Siak Regency IDR 4.63 trillion, Pekanbaru City IDR 4.10 trillion, Rohul Regency IDR 1.99 trillion, Inhil Regency IDR 1.88 trillion, Inhu Regency IDR 1.3 trillion, Kuansing Regency IDR 628 billion, Rohil Regency IDR 269 billion. While the lowest investment is the Meranti Islands Regency, which is only Rp. 11 billion.
