This Year Waskita Karya Wants To Sell 4-5 Toll Roads, Where Are The Locations?

JAKARTA - PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk or Waskita as a construction BUMN plans to divest between four or five toll roads this year.

"In 2022, we plan for approximately 4-5 toll roads to be divested," said Waskita President Director (Director) Destiawan Soewardjono at a hearing with Commission VI DPR RI in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Monday, February 14.

Destiawan said the toll roads to be divested are toll roads that are already fully operational.

"In 2021 toll road divestment, we will carry out four sections that have already been divested, namely switching concessions from Waskita Karya to new investors," he said.

Previously, Waskita made a divestment transaction through its subsidiary PT Waskita Toll Road (WTR) with PT Access Pelabuhan Indonesia (PT API) through the signing of a sale and purchase agreement for the Cibitung - Cilincing toll road section.

Waskita then prepared a number of other toll roads to be divested after the construction BUMN officially released its share ownership in the Cibitung-Cilincing toll road.

Destiawan said his party would respond from investors about which toll roads are of interest.

In October 2021, Waskita has completed the divestment of four toll roads, including Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi, Semarang-Batang, Cinere-Serpong and Cibitung-Cilincing.

"Essentially, of the 13 toll roads that we will recycle, four toll roads have been realized until October 2021. So there are still 9 more toll roads," said Destiawan.
