JAKARTA - PT Avia Avian Tbk (AVIA), a producer of decorative paints and coatings owned by conglomerate Hermanto Tanoko, is optimistic that it will achieve double-digit sales and net profit growth by the end of 2022, in line with the increasing demand for the company's various products.

AVIA President Director Wijono Tanoko said that his party is optimistic that this year's company's performance can improve. He saw that this year there were opportunities and potentials in the paint industry which had increased compared to previous years.

"Therefore, AVIA continues to aggressively expand its distribution network so that all building material stores spread from Sabang to Merauke can get access to our various products easily and quickly. We continue to innovate by presenting various product variants that suit the needs of the Indonesian people," said Wijono, in his written statement, Monday, February 14.

AVIA has managed to pass 2021 well, along with the improvement and stability of the COVID-19 situation in Indonesia. The Company continues to anticipate a sales recovery in the second half of 2021 following the gradual easing of COVID-19 restrictions by the government.

In line with these efforts, until the end of 2021, the company estimates that sales will grow by around 18 percent and is estimated to reach around Rp. 6.8 trillion.

For information, to date, AVIA has 2 paint factories that are actively operating with a total capacity of more than 286 thousand metric tons per year, which have produced various paint brands and well-known products such as No Drop, Sunguard All in one, Supersilk Anti Stain, Avitex , Synthetic Avian, and others.

In addition, AVIA also has a research, development and innovation center which is one of the largest in Indonesia called the Avian Innovation Center (AIC) which is equipped with 11 laboratories and is supported by 65 dedicated and innovative researchers.

Wijono also added that he was confident that AVIA's performance this year could be better after being supported by the momentum of the Company's IPO which was successfully held at the end of 2021.

"This IPO step is a new milestone, where this moment brings AVIA into a new chapter in its journey as the number 1 paint producer in Indonesia," concluded Wijono.
