Crazy Rich Rudy Salim, Who Is Often Mistaken For Anthony Salim's Conglomerate Family, Invests In Deddy Corbuzier's Podcast

JAKARTA - Crazy Rich Rudy Salim's Prestige Corp has invested by becoming a shareholder of PT Dektos Digital Corbuzier, a company founded by well-known Podcast content creator Deddy Corbuzier that focuses on the digital podcast and entertainment ecosystem.

Currently, Deddy Corbuzier's company manages several amazing content programs on Youtube, which currently has more than 17 million subscribers.

Various creative content, such as the podcast "Close the Door", and the stand-up comedy "Smasi" managed to attract Youtube viewers. It is proven by the very high number of views, which is more than 3.4 billion viewers.

Rudy Salim and Deddy Corbuzier signed an investment signing at the Prestige Motorcars Pluit Showroom on Saturday, February 12, 2022. Prestige Corp itself is a holding group that invests in a range of different industries, located in Indonesia.

Founded by Rudy Salim, Prestige Corp. has developed dozens of businesses, starting from its first company in the Microfinance Industry.

"As a multi-industry company, Prestige Corp has developed its business in the Property, Food and Beverage, Lifestyle, Sports, Information Technology, Automotive, Aviation, Production and Entertainment industries," said Rudy Salim in a written statement, Monday, February 14.

The purpose of this investment is to develop a company ecosystem under PT Dektos Digital Corbuzier, thereby increasing the company's valuation. Currently, the valuation of PT Dektos Digital Corbuzier is claimed to reach Rp. 1 trillion, it is hoped that with the presence of Prestige Corp as a strategic partner, it can increase the company's valuation of PT Dektos Digital Corbuzier up to four times.

Prestige Corp. and PT Dektos Digital Corbuzier ensure that with the increasing revenue, there will be new innovations that will be presented in the future.

Rudy Salim said this investment will create a synergy of cooperation between Prestige Corp and PT Dektos Digital Corbuzier. This allows Prestige Corp. to assist in improving the company fundamentals of PT Dektos Digital Corbuzier.

"Hopefully with Prestige Corp, it can increase company value, and create accountable and transparent good corporate governance. I personally am very grateful for the opportunity by Mas Deddy to join and invest in a company that has enormous potential," said Rudy Salim.

Meanwhile, Deddy Corbuzier stated that he was optimistic that this collaboration could open up greater opportunities for PT Dektos Digital Corbuzier and its loyal audience.

"Of course, this synergy is expected to improve the quality of Deddy's Youtube channel shows and reach a larger share of viewers. We believe that with the investment from Prestige Corp, our company's Youtube channel will reach a wider audience, for example the upper class. Hopefully this in the future can increase the valuation of our company," said Deddy Corbuzier.

Prestige Corp. hopes that this investment will become a merging power to increase the company's professionalism and become a new color for Youtube viewers. Of course, this will be achieved by producing higher quality, more interesting, and different shows from similar Youtube podcast channels.
