JAKARTA - Automotive component manufacturer PT Dharma Polimetal Tbk (DRMA) has realized its plan to enter the electric vehicle component business.

The company, which is part of the Triputra Group, owned by conglomerate Theodore Permadi Rachmat, has released battery packs, E-Kit and electric bicycles. These products were introduced by the company at several events that took place at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on 3-6 February.

These include the Inabicycle Show x Fitam Fair 2022 and The 30th Indonesia International Education, Training & Scholarship Expo Indonesia Millennial Festival & Exhibition 2022.

President Director of Dharma Polimetal Irianto Santoso said that the company's participation in these events was represented by PT Dharma Control Cable Indonesia (DCI). According to Irianto, the event is a proof of the company's readiness to welcome the era of electric vehicles in Indonesia.

At the exhibition, DCI displayed the Bataraz battery pack and E-Kit and electric bicycles with the Polimetal Raynor brand.

"Departing from the event, we are quite optimistic in seeing the development of electric vehicles in the country, seen from the enthusiasm of visitors to the company's products, there have even been orders, especially for the Polymetal Raynor electric bicycle product," said Irianto in an official statement, Thursday, February 10. .

In addition to battery packs, the company has also started producing other components used in electric vehicles, such as body and chassis components using high-tensile steel, sensors and wiring harnesses. During the exhibition, Dharma also collaborated with the Bike To Work community to introduce the technology and reliability of the company's electric vehicle products.
