JAKARTA - A startup company from Indonesia, Bobobox admits that it is interested in building a capsule hotel in South Sulawesi in an effort to support and encourage the tourism sector in the area.

Bobobox as the first digital cabin operator in Indonesia is interested in collaborating with the South Sulawesi government to support the national economic recovery program in the tourism sector," said Bobobox CEO Indra Gunawan in Makassar, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, February 8.

The technology company's interest in expanding its business in South Sulawesi is due to the natural beauty of South Sulawesi Province.

"Bobobox believes that South Sulawesi with its natural beauty is the right destination for the development of several bobocabin locations," he said.

He hopes that this collaboration will be able to help drive a better tourism economy for the people of Indonesia.

"Through bobocabin, we want all Indonesian people to be able to enjoy the extraordinary natural beauty of South Sulawesi," he explained.

As of December 2021, Bobobox already has 16 pods spread across Jakarta, Bandung (West Java), Semarang, Solo (Central Java) Yogyakarta and Malang, East Java.

All rooms at the Bobobox Capsule Hotel are confirmed to be connected to Internet of Things (IoT) technology
