JAKARTA - Responding to the surge in COVID-19 patients at Wisma Atlet, PLN's Main Distribution Unit for Greater Jakarta has alerted 2,356 officers to maintain the reliability of electricity supply in the Jakarta and surrounding areas. Alertness is increasingly being increased in health facilities and handling COVID-19, such as at the Athlete's House which is starting to fill with patients.

"We continue to be committed to supporting the government's efforts in handling COVID-19, of course in our capacity to maintain the reliability of electricity supply in health facilities and to support the handling of COVID-19 in Jakarta," said Doddy B. In addition to alerting officers, PLN UID Jakarta Raya also prepared 6 units of UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), 4 units of mobile cables (UKB), 20 units of power banks, 17 units of mobile substations (UGB), and 4 units of cranes.

The strengthening of electricity supply at supporting facilities is also continuously monitored, one of which is the Athlete's Wisma which is the Covid-19 Emergency Hospital. Wisma Atlet has a power capacity of 11,080,000 Volt Ampere (VA).

There are 3 distribution substations that supply 7 towers there. Wisma Atlet Kemayoran electricity is supplied by 3 sources from different substations consisting of 1 main supply and 2 backup supplies with the same electricity quality.

The electrical system at Wisma Atlet is equipped with Automatic Change Over (ACO) on the medium voltage side as a tool to move the electricity supply from the main supply to the backup supply if the main supply is interrupted.

Not only hospitals and emergency hospitals are being monitored. Doddy has also coordinated asking all officers to oversee the supply of electricity at the oxygen plant. The availability of oxygen is important for handling COVID-19 patients who have respiratory problems.

In standby, PLN applies a shift and split work system and continues to apply health protocols by maintaining distance, wearing masks, avoiding crowds, and diligently washing hands.

In the midst of services to maintain the reliability of electricity supply to customers, PLN is also committed to supporting the COVID-19 vaccination program run by the Government. All employees and partners of PLN UID Jakarta Raya have received the first and second doses of primary vaccines and some have received booster vaccines.

On Saturday and Sunday, January 29-30, 2022, a COVID-19 booster vaccination was held for 2000 PLN employees and partners throughout Jabodetabek which was held at PLN UID Jakarta Raya.

"PLN strongly supports the government's program for vaccination. As a public service company that has to work 24 hours in 7 days, of course we have to make sure our officers are healthy and get protection during the pandemic, one of which is vaccines to minimize the impact of COVID-19," added Doddy. .
