The signing of the MoU is also a form of collaboration and synergy between State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) in supporting Indonesia's G20 Presidency in 2022, one of which focuses on the issue of reducing global carbon emissions. This effort is also in line with the commitment to implement the Paris Agreement which was ratified by the Government of Indonesia on April 22, 2016.

In addition to the signing of the MoU, on this occasion a PLTS Facility Cooperation Agreement was signed on the Bali Mandara Toll Road between PT Bukit Energi Investama (PT BEI) and PT Jasamarga Bali Tol (PT JBT).
