Kylian Mbappe Is Estimated To Be Absent For 10 Days Due To A Paha Injury

JAKARTA - Kylian Mbappe is expected to be absent for 10 days from experiencing a thigh injury in the match against Atalanta in the Champions League, Wednesday, December 11, 2024, early morning WIB.

The French striker was replaced in the 35th minute, 25 minutes after opening Real Madrid's lead, in a 3-2 win over Atalanta.

The injury means that Mbappe is likely to miss out in three games.

In detail, the away match to Rayo Vallecano in La Liga on December 15, 2024, the 2024 Intercontinental Cup final (substitution of the 2024 Club World Cup) on December 19, 2024, and hosting Sevilla in La Liga on December 22, 2024.

Real Madrid will not be in a hurry to return Mbappe to the final if the risk worsens muscle injuries.

"After tests carried out on Kylian Mbappe on December 12, 2024 by Real Madrid's medical department, the player has been diagnosed with a thigh injury to his left leg. Progress will be monitored," the club said in a statement.
