JAKARTA - Fatigue hit the Indonesian national team players who competed in the 2024 AFF Cup. Even though there was minimal recovery because there was no break, Indonesia still targeted three points against Laos in the Group B match at the Manahan Stadium, Solo, Thursday 12 December 2024 at 20.00 WIB.

The Red and White Team immediately flew to Solo after beating Myanmar 1-0 in the first match of Group B of the 2024 AFF Cup. However, there is no reason for players not to show their best performance when playing Laos.

Coach Shin Tae-yong stated that fatigue was not an excuse when the Red and White team played a match in front of their own supporters. They must be able to maximize their chances of achieving a second victory.

In the match against Laos, coach Shin is certain to keep the winning team. He also felt there was no need to rotate the players in the match.

"We did face a game with a busy schedule and it was tiring for the players. But not many players will be substituted. I will not rotate the players and defend the existing ones. However, we will still try our best," he said.

"We also hope for full support from fans for this match," said the South Korean coach in response to a ticket to the national team match that had sold out.

The enthusiasm of the national team supporters to come to Manahan to provide support is certain to be a strength in itself. Winger Marselino Ferdinand stated that the presence of supporters was very meaningful for the players.

"We obviously need support from supporters, especially for young players. This certainly encourages us to play as hard as we can in this match," said Marselino.

"It must be admitted that we feel tired but have the spirit to play in home matches. We want to give our best. In addition, young players will find it easier to recover. So we don't take long to recover conditions," he said.
