LOMBOK - KTM Red Bull Racer Brad Binder has confirmed that he will dare to take risks to rise and conquer the Indonesian MotoGP which is rolling at the Mandalika International Circuit, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, Sunday, October 15.

Binder had a fairly tough Saturday (14/10). After securing fifth place on the starting grid, he was instead involved in a fairly large contact with Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing) in the Sprint session. It left him far behind and finished the session in P19.

"If you want to overtake, then the racer must take a little risk. I feel good when driving, the hard tires I choose also work well. My time after the accident is also quite good, so we are optimistic for the main race to come," said Binder, quoted from the team's official statement on Sunday.

While his team-mate, Jack Miller, in today's main race will start from P10. Starting the race from the top 10 he also considered quite challenging, following Sprint which he only finished in ninth place.

"I managed to defend and improve the position with some good laps. I'm happy with my speed but obviously we want to be better than this ninth position. We have a good foundation for the upcoming race," Miller said.

Meanwhile, KTM Red Bull Team Manager Francesco Guidotti said his side is still optimistic about the two riders who have the potential to collect more points in the MotoGP championship this season.

Despite the two who had a challenging Saturday, he assessed that Binder and Miller had recorded positive performance in qualifying and Sprint sessions.

"The two riders in qualifying looked solid. We are happy with the bike and its performance, but there are concerns with the choice of tires, and I'm sure we made the right decision," said Guidotti.

"Unfortunately Aleix hit Brad in the second lap and Jack made a small mistake that cost him the top five. Brad is in a very good condition and has a strong start as usual. We'll see."
