JAKARTA Manchester United is confirmed without their striker Marcus Rashford for the next few matches. That's because 25-year-old players are suffering from muscle injuries.

Red Devils tactician Erik ten Hag has just confirmed the injury to his flagship player. However, he could not confirm when Rashford would recover and return to play.

"I couldn't give more details about the injury because we didn't know [when he could recover]," the Dutch coach was quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

The 25-year-old international left the pitch holding his groin in the second half in the Red Devils' victory over Everton at Old Trafford, Saturday, April 8.

This injury will see Manchester United face Sevilla in the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals this week.

"We have to see how the injury develops. Of course this is a setback and he is disappointed with that," said the former Ajax coach.

"However, he is not completely desperate because he knows he will return quickly. He is optimistic and he immediately started his recovery and rehabilitation so that it helps him to return soon," he added.

Rashford has scored 28 goals in 47 games this season and featured in all Premier League games. He has also scored 20 goals in 28 games since returning from the 2022 World Cup.

Rashford's absence allowed Anthony Martial to appear. The France international has just scored his first goal since December after coming off the bench against Everton.
