JAKARTA The 2022/2023 Indonesian League 1 match will bring Madura United together against PSM Makassar. This match could be an opportunity for PSM to seal the title of Indonesia's highest caste football competition.

The meeting of the two teams will take place at Madura United headquarters at the Gelora Madura Ratu Pamelingan Stadium, Pamekasan, Friday, March 31 at 20.30 WIB. The visitors need three points from this match to lock the title early.

Currently Juku Eja, nicknamed PSM Makassar, occupies the top position of the Indonesian League 1 standings. They occupy the top position with a collection of 69 points or 10 ahead of Persib Bandung who trails in second place.

If they are able to secure three points, Juku Eja automatically ensures that they become champions with two games remaining. They will collect 72 points and are not overtaken by Persib who most collect 71 points.

However, the duel against Madura will certainly not be easy for PSM. Laskar Sapeh Kerrab, who played in front of their own supporters, of course, has ambitions to postpone the celebration of the PSM title at their home.

On Madura United paper is one of two teams that have defeated PSM Makassar this season. Apart from them, another defeat suffered by Juku Eja occurred against Persija Jakarta.

Madura United itself still has hopes in Indonesia's highest caste this season, which is finishing in the top four. They are currently in sixth position in the standings with a collection of 49 points adrift of only two points from Barito Putera in the last place in the top four.
