Security Guarantee For The National Police To Guard The 2023 U-20 World Cup

JAKARTA - The 2023 U-20 World Cup is in sight. All related parties continue to finalize preparations to make the FIFA title a success.

The Indonesian National Police (Polri) are among those who continue to prepare for this international event. The National Police are increasingly finalizing preparations for the U-20 World Cup organizers by deploying 2,716 personnel to oversee the course of the international football match.

"Of course the National Police will try their best to organize this FIFA World Cup match by taking place safely, smoothly and peacefully," said Karopenmas of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, as quoted from Antara, Saturday, March 18.

Previously, the chairman of the organizing committee for the U-20 World Cup Erick Thohir confirmed that all stadium fields to be used met FIFA standards. This belief comes after the arrival of a walking fixing machine that will be used to equalize the field standards according to the rules of the world football body.

"The pitch matching machine recommended by FIFA to improve the quality of the World Cup standard field is already present in Indonesia. Currently, the engine position is in Bali, to improve the quality of the field at the I Wayan Dipta Stadium, and will then be turned to another field," Erick said in a statement received in Jakarta.

After the field of I Wayan Dipta Stadium, the engine will be used at Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium (Surabaya), Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (Jakarta), Manahan Stadium (Solo), Si Jalak Harupat Stadium (Bandung), and finally at Gelora Sriwijaya Jakabaring Stadium (Palembang).

"With each stadium taking time to work for a week and transit between cities, we ensure that the six-field grass sewing work for the U-20 World Cup will be completed on time. This is also pride because thanks to the U-20 World Cup, we have six fields as well as FIFA standards and the world," added the man who is also PSSI General Chair.
